MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORs
Theresa and Jäesun Brangarran
Theresa Brangarrán was raised in Scituate, MA, and spent much of her time growing up exploring the woods, learning about the many plants growing in the area. She found a love of teaching about nature while working with kids at an Audubon summer camp, and especially loved teaching them how to find fun treats to eat in the fields and woods on their daily hikes. She started working with herbs for health around the same time and has been over sharing about both foraging and herbalism ever since! She has learned from a number of different herbalists from all over the country, and regularly educates herself about the plants she comes across in her daily life, learning about how to work with both edibles and medicinals in the local ecosystems. In the last five years she has also focused on learning about regenerative agricultural systems, including pasturing raising and rotationally grazing animals, permaculture and indigenous growing systems. She is passionate about becoming self-sufficient, and creating community centered on these concepts.
Jäesun Brangarran grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts, spending much of his young life traipsing through the woods teaching himself to fish, building survival shelters and learning about local ecosystems. He has been passionate about the natural world since that time and spends much of his spare time exploring the wilderness for his artwork, hunting, fishing and learning the land. For years he has harvested and butcher animals on farms and in the past has worked in meat cutting. He has focused on regenerative agricultural systems over the last decade and has traveled around the country learning about rotational grazing, low impact farming and self-sufficiency. He is passionate about teaching people how to work with the land and create systems for self sufficiency.
